Product Finance Director

About the role

Airwallex is seeking a Director of Product Finance to own the accounting, reconciliation and financial governance for its core product suite, including payments, issuing, acquiring, FX, intercompany flows and wallet infrastructure. This senior, cross‑functional position sits at the intersection of finance, product and technology, partnering with Product, Engineering and Treasury teams to embed sound accounting and controls from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI adoption and automation across cash, intercompany, AR and treasury reconciliation processes.
• Serve as the primary accounting authority for all product‑related fund flows, payment clearing, issuing revenue, acquiring settlements, rebate netting, FX revaluation and intercompany rebalancing.
• Document accounting treatments and ensure robust financial controls for new product launches and revenue models.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Treasury to design fund flow architectures that meet accounting standards.
• Drive transformation of manual reconciliation operations toward scalable, technology‑first solutions.
