Product Owner - Finance Systems (Contract)

About the role

Singapore Airlines is hiring a Product Owner for Finance Systems on a contract basis, joining the Business Technology Department within the Finance Division. The role partners with Finance business users, the IT Division and vendors to plan, design and implement Finance digital initiatives, and requires a strong understanding of finance processes in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the product roadmap for Finance systems, aligning Finance process needs with system capabilities.
• Work with functional teams to identify, define and document business needs, user requirements and system enhancements.
• Lead business process reviews and formulate use cases with business users.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of new projects and enhancements, including requirements gathering, functional design, solution validation, UAT and change management, communications and post-implementation reviews.
• Provide operational support: guide users on system usage, authorisation and administration, manage incidents and periodic tasks, spot process improvement and automation opportunities, and support audit and compliance reviews of Finance IT applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business IT or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in Finance, Business Technology or ERP system implementation.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA FI & CO modules and core finance processes (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders).
• Mid-career professionals with a finance background moving into digital or product ownership roles are strongly preferred.
• Agile delivery and stakeholder management experience is an advantage; exposure to SharePoint and Tableau is beneficial.
• Proven project management skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives.
