Production Control and Planning

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Production Control and Planning professional to manage production, inventory and process control activities, ensuring timely material delivery and supporting engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP work order release schedule to provide material on‑time to manufacturing and engineering.
• Perform pre‑shortage analysis, work order variance analysis and resolve material shortages.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, and validate master scheduling.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders, prepare status reports and participate in production meetings.
• Analyze usage data, maintain inventory levels, forecast spare parts and handle obsolete inventory.
• Support process control through root‑cause analysis, cycle counting and PCI reporting.
• Lead data analysis and forecasting projects, creating visualizations with Tableau and using Python or SQL for ad‑hoc analysis.

Required profile

• Experience in production control, inventory control, process control or shop floor control activities.
• Strong analytical abilities to perform data analysis, forecasting and variance analysis.
