Production Planner (Front-End)

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Production Planner (Front-End) in Singapore. The role plans production, coordinates materials and spares and works with purchasing, warehouse and logistics to keep shipments on time.

Key responsibilities

• Plan production, including releasing work orders and ensuring on-time delivery of shipments according to customer requirements
• Work closely with purchasing, warehouse and logistics to ensure on-time receipt and delivery of materials and finished goods
• Monitor and coordinate material shortages, expedite and ensure material availability to support the production plan
• Manage spares planning and ensure timely delivery of spares to the distribution centre
• Drive spares repair material planning and optimise materials for the spares replenishment programme
• Minimise excess and obsolete inventory
• Help develop, maintain and improve processes, procedures and key performance metrics

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma (or equivalent) in Technical Engineering, Business or Supply Chain
• At least 2 years of related industry experience in manufacturing or production planning
• Experience in a low-volume, high-mix environment (preferably equipment manufacturing) and DFT/pull manufacturing is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team player, self-driven, able to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment with offshore colleagues

Required skills

• Knowledge of work order management and understanding of the Bill of Materials
• Proficiency in an ERP system, preferably SAP (PP module)
• Good knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts and production planning reporting and metrics
