Production Planner

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services is hiring a Production Planner in Jurong. The role develops and executes short- to mid-term supply planning and manages the end-to-end production planning process, aligning customer demand, inventory targets and manufacturing capacity. It works cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain and customer success teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production so the production schedule supports customer orders, safety stock replenishment and business goals.
• Maximise machine and tool capacity to meet production output, inventory and customer availability targets.
• Collaborate with customers, customer success, supply chain and manufacturing on make-to-order orders, inside and outside standard lead times.
• Manage prioritisation requests between supply chain and commercial, track them and communicate progress.
• Review excess, expired or at-risk inventory with commercial and operations.
• Analyse production capacity constraints and recommend solutions for engineering projects, including tool qualification timelines and raw material impacts.
• Work with the production team to clear MRB materials quickly and minimise write-off risks.
• Monitor master data accuracy, maintain KPI dashboards and reports, and evaluate planning runs for inconsistencies.
• Support quality investigations and help streamline the planning process.
• Take part in monthly supply chain operations meetings and daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly KPI reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations management or a similar discipline.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in supply chain or production planning in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP-SAP PP planning, master production schedules, rough-cut capacity plans and resource plans.
• Preferred: APICS certification, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma, and project management certification.
