Production Technician Trainee (15-Month Traineeship)

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services offers a 15-month Production Technician traineeship in Jurong, Singapore, aimed at accelerating growth and preparing candidates for a career in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. The programme is the Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing, jointly supported by Workforce Singapore and the Workforce Advancement Federation, and includes a local attachment with West. Only Singapore citizens and permanent residents are considered.

Key responsibilities

• Execute production activities according to SOPs, safety and quality requirements.
• Escalate safety hazards and risks, and abnormal findings to the Production Lead, Senior Production Lead or Production Supervisor.
• Perform quality checks and carry out material system transactions accurately.
• Follow OCAP (Out of Control Plan) procedures and escalate line abnormalities.
• Take part in training activities and help certify team members with the Training Lead.
• Support Kaizen projects and other continuous improvement activities.
• Support the Production Lead in their absence and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Higher NITEC or Diploma; 0-1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma White Belt training is advantageous.
• Able to work day or night shifts and to stand for long periods; may be deployed across production departments.
• Minimum 20/30 vision in each eye, with or without correction, and no colour deficiency.

Required skills

• Adherence to SOPs, safety and quality policies, and GMP/GDP compliance.
• Ability to follow work instructions from the Learning Management System.
• Communication and training skills.
