Programme Associate - Fun with Friends Programme (2 Years Contract)

About the role

NTUC Health is looking for a Programme Associate for its Fun with Friends Programme, a two-year contract position. You will be part of a dedicated care team delivering a person-centred care model for seniors, including persons with dementia, through multi-modality group programmes that promote independence and maintain cognitive and physical function. The work is based at Kampung Admiralty.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate multi-modality group activities for persons with dementia, such as exercise sessions, meal preparation groups, cognitive games, music and art activities, as assigned by the programme executive
• Help plan and prepare activities and manage clients with mental, physical and behavioural concerns related to dementia, monitoring their health status
• Assist with client care, including transfers, toileting and functional mobility
• Help administer assessments to clients and caregivers, collect data and document client progress after each session
• Update families and next of kin on client engagement and support staff or volunteers running the programme
• Induct new community care associates and guide them
• Procure activity materials with approval from the RO or Programme Executive and keep the premises tidy

Required profile

• Nitec, Diploma or Certificate in Healthcare or an equivalent course
• Comfortable facilitating group sessions and building positive relationships with persons with dementia and their caregivers
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin; conversing in local dialects is an added advantage
• Proficiency in Google Suite applications and MS Office
• Some experience in social services or healthcare is an advantage, as is good knowledge of eldercare services in the community

Working hours are a five-day week, 8am to 5.30pm, with timing that may vary according to programme needs.
