Project Coordinator

About the role

The Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager to ensure construction projects run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves coordinating daily site activities, managing documentation, and maintaining safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in coordinating project management activities and preparing shop drawings with the Drafting Department.
• Attend external project meetings, consultant meetings, daily site meetings, and internal project closure meetings.
• Carry out risk assessments and other risk‑management activities.
• Ensure all contractors are safety‑inducted, issued permits before work starts, and follow established Safe Work Procedures.
• Resolve site issues promptly and seek guidance from the Project Manager when needed.
• Prepare timely project progress reports and monitor QA/QC matters.
• Coordinate daily worker duties, conduct daily checks on progress, housekeeping, and safety with safety personnel.
• Order required materials and maintain proper project documentation, including email communications.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in building construction.
• Relevant safety certifications such as SCWSH or BCSS.
• At least a Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
