Project Engineer (Civil)

About the role

The Project Engineer (Civil) will support the Manager or Team Leader in delivering construction projects on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. This position involves close collaboration with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure technical compliance and smooth execution.

Key responsibilities

• Study and interpret ISO requirements, technical drawings, scope, contractual and sub‑contract agreements.
• Coordinate with consultants to resolve technical issues before construction begins.
• Prepare and submit short‑ and medium‑term programmes for approval and execute works according to the detailed schedule.
• Ensure all works follow approved drawings, quality procedures, and EHS requirements, maintaining excellent site housekeeping.
• Implement quality recordings, analyse results, and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
• Maintain proper documentation to satisfy EHS, quality, client, and authority standards.
• Manage cost control for temporary and permanent works, minimizing waste and avoiding rework.
• Handle ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the Project Manager to support project execution.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Preferably experience with HDB projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO standards and compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Quality management and documentation skills.
• EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) compliance awareness.
• Cost management and waste control techniques.
