Project Manager - Transformers

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is looking for a Project Manager for its Transformers team in Singapore. The role covers the successful delivery of assigned projects on time, within budget and in line with the contract, under Hitachi Energy's quality and safety framework. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project execution according to contract scope, schedule and conditions, with proactive planning, monitoring and control of scope, time and cost.
• Develop and manage project schedules and documentation, coordinating with internal teams and customers to secure timely approvals.
• Act as the main customer contact, meeting contractual commitments and building trust through consistent communication.
• Identify project risks early, implement mitigation actions and coordinate with the factory and customer on Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Arrange dispatch clearances, coordinate invoicing with the commercial team, dispatch of goods with logistics, installation, testing and commissioning with the service team, and collection of payments and As-built drawings with the customer.
• Report progress to internal stakeholders and management, monitor daily productivity and project cost-to-complete against budget, and report cost trends to higher management, commercial and estimation departments.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines, and uphold safety and integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• More than 5-7 years of project management experience in the transformer industry or similar high-voltage (HV) equipment; power transformer experience is an added advantage; electrical-related experience is a must.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and teams across global locations.
• PMP certified or equivalent certification is a must.
• Demonstrated commercial understanding, strong organization, excellent written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Management of scope, cost, schedules and vendor/subcontractors.
• Managing orders, including complex orders and different contractual types.
• SAP (highly preferable), MS Project, Outlook and Visio.
