Project Officer (Behavioural Sciences, Public Health, Communication & Psychology)

About the role

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) at NTU, established in 1992 and the only full-fledged communication school in Singapore, is seeking a Project Officer. The role covers office administration, scheduling, meetings and events, and also supports academic research such as literature reviews, paper writing, data analysis and participation in research teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement research, including literature review, data collection and data analysis
• Conduct and interpret qualitative and quantitative research
• Support research projects, including securing ethics approval, contributing to academic publications and reports, and managing operations
• Work with collaborators and third-party service providers on projects
• Handle daily operational, administrative and logistics duties for the research projects
• Conduct and organise project meetings
• Support the development of grant proposals
• Promote research impact through publications, presentations and media engagement
• Undertake additional duties as required by the supervisor

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in behavioural sciences, public health, communication and psychology or related fields
• Preferred background in behavioural sciences, public health, communication and psychology
• Experience with academic publications
• Strong administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and manage time meticulously
• Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels

Required skills

• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and tools
• Experience securing and managing research grants
• Ability to develop strategic, collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Soft skills such as information visualisation and interaction design
