Project Officer – Cell & Molecular Biology

About the role

Join the laboratory of A/P Tan Suet Mien at the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as a Project Officer. You will contribute to a project investigating how kindlins regulate cellular processes using advanced cell and molecular biology techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mammalian cell‑culture experiments.
• Perform molecular and cellular biology techniques.
• Carry out protein expression and purification.
• Conduct microscopy and flow‑cytometry analyses.
• Perform bio‑layer interferometry (BLI) assays.
• Assist with data analysis, documentation, and general laboratory activities.

Required profile

• BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences.
• Demonstrated research laboratory experience.
• Experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and protein expression/purification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• At least one first‑author publication in a peer‑reviewed journal.
