Purchasing Assistant

About the role

The Purchasing Assistant will support Culina’s procurement activities, ensuring that our specialist food and wine supplies are sourced efficiently and delivered on time to meet the needs of our hospitality and retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders, obtain the required authorisations and place orders with local suppliers.
• Track orders, confirm timely delivery to the warehouse and calculate ordering cycles and quantities based on customer indent orders.
• Maintain accurate records, follow up on documentation and inform internal departments of expected delivery dates.
• Verify received goods, process claims for defective items and request credit notes for damaged, unacceptable or incorrect deliveries.
• Conduct an annual stock‑taking exercise.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE “O” Level, Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Purchasing experience is optional; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Team‑player attitude with resilience, initiative and a positive work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
