Purchasing Team Lead / Material Readiness Planner

About the role

As a Purchasing Team Lead / Material Readiness Planner at NTS Singapore, you will ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support production priorities. You will lead the Purchasing/Operational Buying team and work closely with Material Planning, Production Planning, Master Planning and Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support the Purchasing / Operational Buying team, including workload allocation and performance follow‑up.
• Translate MRP output into actionable purchase requirements and ensure material readiness for the frozen production window.
• Manage supplier PO confirmations, rescheduling and expediting, driving improvements in on‑time delivery.
• Monitor material shortages and delivery risks, lead shortage review meetings and develop recovery plans.
• Improve PO management workflows, ERP usage and material tracking processes (Navision or equivalent).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in purchasing, materials planning or supply chain operations.
• Experience leading a small team and developing team members.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a calm, execution‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MRP systems.
• Purchase order management and supplier follow‑up.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Navision or equivalent.
