QC Inspector – Structural, Piping, NDE & Coating (FPSO/Upstream Projects)

About the role

The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Inspector will ensure compliance with all quality standards for structural, piping, non‑destructive testing (NDT), coating and dimensional inspections on FPSO and upstream oil & gas projects. The role covers fabrication, module integration and offshore installation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect structural and piping fabrication/installation against drawings, codes and specifications.
• Perform welding inspections in accordance with AWS and CSWIP standards.
• Execute and interpret Level II NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT).
• Inspect coating processes, including surface preparation, dry film thickness, wet film thickness and environmental conditions.
• Carry out dimensional control using precision instruments for alignment, tolerances and fit‑up.
• Witness hydro‑static and pneumatic pressure testing and verify system compliance.
• Ensure adherence to ASME, API, AWS, ISO, DNV/NORSOK and other relevant standards.
• Prepare inspection reports, non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and other quality documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Certifications: AWS/CSWIP Welding Inspector, NDT Level II (ASNT/PCN/ISO 9712), Coating Level II (NACE/BGAS or equivalent).
• 5–10 years of QC inspection experience in oil & gas, with mandatory exposure to FPSO, offshore platforms or upstream projects.
• Experience in shipyards, module fabrication or EPC environments is preferred.
