Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join its team in Singapore. The role supports the quality manager in keeping the shop's activities compliant with regulatory requirements, company policy and procedures, and in handling audits, supplier quality and trade compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the quality manager in ensuring shop activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policy, exposition documents and procedures, including the scope of work and capability list.
• Support the quality manager with customer and authority audits so they can be completed smoothly.
• Track and report non-conformances to management and the corporate office, and verify that corrective actions prevent recurrence.
• Liaise with vendors to keep Supplier Quality Management System KPIs and performance up to date through setup, enhancement, periodic review and updating of quality e-systems.
• Assist in capability addition processes and coordinate with engineering and operations on first article processes.
• Perform system, product, process and supplier audits.
• Assist in the annual renewal of in-house stamp approvals.
• Help the department manager flow down Global Trade updates from GT AsiaPac and the Service Centre Network Central Team to stakeholders, review and clear Global Trade blocks in SAP and escalate when needed.
• Deliver training to the shop floor on QA, Global Trade and other functional topics.

Required profile

• Diploma in an aerospace-related discipline with at least 3 years of aviation experience, or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a compliance-related role (e.g. ethics, environment, health and safety, global trade) is an added advantage.
• Basic computer proficiency with PC tools and software.
• Knowledge of data analysis is preferred.
