Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Specialist

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support our building‑materials wholesale business by managing cost estimation, tendering and contract administration for projects based in Tuas. You will work closely with sales, procurement and project teams to ensure accurate budgeting and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and quantity take‑offs for projects.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender submissions, cost comparisons and pricing proposals.
• Monitor project costs, review claims, invoices and payment applications.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, logistics and project teams.
• Prepare variation orders, progress claims and final accounts.
• Maintain contracts, quotations, purchase orders and project records.
• Liaise with customers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare cost reports for management review.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, tendering or contract administration.
• Experience in construction, building materials, engineering or related industry is advantageous.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Familiarity with tendering, costing and procurement processes.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
