Ramp/NPI Process Engineer - Dry / Wet Etch

About the role

Applied Materials is looking for a motivated, hands-on Dry Etch / Wet Etch Process Engineer to support the setup and ramp of its next-generation semiconductor manufacturing line. The role works across engineering and operations to drive technology transfer from pathfinding and ramp through to pilot production, with experience in process transfer to a pilot production line being critical for a smooth fab ramp-up. The work location is Woodlands, Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Review and train on existing R&D processes and transfer knowledge to the pilot production line.
• Create a comprehensive checklist to ensure successful transfer of processes and materials.
• Collaborate with R&D, production process, integration, operations and hardware teams so the checklist is completed on time for HVM operations.
• Track and manage schedules, deliverables and risks for technology transfer and production milestones.
• Coordinate training with R&D transfer engineers.
• Support tools and process qualifications at the HVM site.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and industry standards, especially dry etch and wet etch.
• Comfortable working across time zones, collaborating with remote teams and supporting factory-side execution.
• Discipline in tracking and driving deliverables to completion.
• Flexibility to travel between Southeast Asia and the USA about 30% of the time.
• Candidates with more relevant years of experience will be considered for a Senior or Principal equivalent role.
