R&D Engineer – Up to $4000/month (Sembawang)

About the role

The R&D Engineer will support product research, testing, development and technical transfer, working closely with customers and cross‑functional teams in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct experimental research and analyse chemical properties of products and compounds
• Develop new products, test methods, and improve raw materials or existing formulations
• Perform product testing, trial runs, and inspections
• Provide technical support and collaborate with customers on product/application development
• Prepare quality system documentation, including R&D reports, test methods, SOPs, and risk analysis
• Support customer and certification audits
• Coordinate technical transfer to production and grade transfers from other plants
• Source and manage procurement of testing equipment and machines
• Work closely with internal departments to resolve technical issues
• Participate in company‑wide projects and initiatives

Required profile

• Degree in Science, Chemical Process, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, especially in failure analysis and estimation
• Good conceptual, problem‑solving, and organisational abilities
• Customer‑focused, proactive, responsible and able to work well in teams
