R&D Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Halliburton is looking for an R&D Mechanical Engineer to design hardware for product changes and new development within the global energy industry. The role involves applying functional specifications, conducting reliability analysis, and supporting the company’s intellectual property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Apply functional specifications and engineering tools to design hardware for product changes and new development.
• Process data, write engineering reports, and diagnose routine hardware malfunctions.
• Contribute to reliability analysis, including risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Identify system‑level testing requirements and ensure compliance with test standards and Halliburton’s Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.
• Prepare Invention Disclosures and recognize potential intellectual property ideas.
• Coordinate with project leads to produce deliverables by assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications.
• Develop relationships through communication and act as a resource for innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (master’s degree preferred).
• At least two years of related experience (requirement may be waived with a master’s degree).
