R&D Regulatory (EMC) Engineer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is hiring an R&D Regulatory (EMC) Engineer for its Networking business, working onsite at an HPE office in Singapore. The role ensures that hardware products meet global regulatory and compliance standards while keeping product development cycles efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Drive technical EMC compliance to meet global market, regulatory and country-specific requirements
• Identify and mitigate compliance risks early in the design cycle, reducing late-stage failures
• Lead and contribute to EMC debugging and mitigation strategies
• Perform and guide validation and compliance testing throughout the product development lifecycle
• Optimize compliance test strategies and costs while supporting aggressive time-to-market goals
• Partner with design teams to implement design-for-EMC best practices
• Collaborate with labs, cross-functional engineering teams and external partners to ensure successful certification

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in technical EMC compliance, preferably in a lab or product development environment
• Experience supporting at least two new product introductions (NPI) with a focus on EMC design and issue resolution
• Ability to manage relationships with external test houses and certification agencies
• Preferred: experience with networking or telecommunications products

Required skills

• Strong understanding of pre- and post-compliance processes, standards and emerging regulatory requirements
• Hands-on experience with EMC testing, debugging and mitigation techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Preferred: strong collaboration and communication skills across geographies and cultures, and self-driven management of multiple priorities
