Regional Legal Counsel – Asia Pacific

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking an experienced Regional Legal Counsel to lead the legal agenda across Asia Pacific (excluding China and India). Based in Singapore or Malaysia, you will work closely with regional and country management to support business growth while managing legal, commercial and ethical risks.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior legal advisor for the Asia Pacific region, handling commercial and operational matters across South East Asia.
• Participate actively in the South East Asia Management Team.
• Translate business priorities into a clear regional legal agenda and drive its execution.
• Provide practical legal advice and conduct commercial, legal and ethical risk assessments.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, distributor, service, project and partnership contracts.
• Advise management on corporate governance and compliance matters such as anti‑bribery, anti‑corruption, export control and sanctions.
• Develop and continuously improve legal policies, processes, contract templates and supporting tools.
• Build legal and compliance capability through training, communication and knowledge sharing.
• Manage disputes, claims, investigations and litigation, coordinating external counsel as needed.
