Regional Legal Counsel

About the role

The Regional Legal Counsel will advise senior management on legal and compliance risks across business units, lead strategic legal projects, and oversee contract review for partnership‑level and key accounts, as well as the legal workstream for fundraising and borrowing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Advising, negotiating and managing contracts with partnership shippers and other key accounts.
• Leading and handling the legal workstream in fundraising and financing.
• Managing and implementing key compliance policies, including data protection.
• Managing corporate legal structure and ensuring compliance with corporate secretarial requirements.
• Managing contracting processes across the NV Group and its Contracting Policy.
• Advising and managing material disputes.

Required profile

• 8 years or more post‑qualification experience.
• 3 years or more experience drafting, negotiating and managing complex multi‑country/regional services agreements.
• Experience designing and implementing legal policies.
• Ability to identify and prioritize risks.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• LL.B or J.D. from a reputable university in Singapore, England, Australia, Hong Kong or another major common‑law jurisdiction; admission to the Singapore Bar preferred.
• Candidates admitted to another major common‑law jurisdiction may apply.
