Regional Sorting Operations Excellence Associate

About the role

We are seeking a data‑driven Sorting Operations Excellence Associate to lead and optimise both manual and automatic sorting processes across Shopee’s regional logistics network. The role combines analytical problem‑solving with hands‑on operational leadership to improve efficiency, reduce waste and drive cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise sorting operations across multiple markets, covering manual and automated processes.
• Analyse large datasets to perform root‑cause analysis and evaluate trade‑offs using advanced analytics tools.
• Develop, maintain and track Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and sustained improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and local market teams to design and implement improvement projects.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and long‑term impact.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear, structured manner.
• Manage and train the sorting operations team on SOP adherence and resource utilisation.
• Stay informed on emerging sorting technologies and industry best practices, identifying opportunities for adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or a related field with strong analytical components.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics or sorting operations, with exposure to both manual and automatic sorting.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of extracting insights from data.
• Passion for deep‑diving into operational challenges and driving change in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Solid project‑management capabilities.
