Research and Education Lead – Sustainable Healthcare

About the role

The Centre for Sustainable Medicine at the National University of Singapore is seeking a motivated leader to drive research, education and operational delivery on sustainable healthcare. You will coordinate education programmes, manage cross‑functional workstreams and translate research into policy and practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research on sustainable healthcare education and system transformation.
• Coordinate and deliver the Centre’s education portfolio, including MSc, Executive Fellowship, undergraduate courses and in‑hospital training.
• Oversee academic activities such as timetabling, faculty coordination, student engagement and reporting.
• Supervise a small cross‑functional team, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Manage financial and procurement processes, full‑cycle grant administration and HR support for recruitment and onboarding.
• Develop and maintain knowledge‑management structures, SOPs and digital tools to enhance programme quality.
• Contribute to academic publications, policy briefs and thought pieces to extend research impact.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent experience in health, climate, sustainability or related fields.
• Proven experience in leading research and education programmes, preferably in a university or research institute.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, grants and procurement processes.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
