About the role
The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU is seeking a diligent Research Assistant to support both office administration and academic research within the Communication Studies and Social Science domains.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate executive schedules, appointments and events.
- Organise and document meeting minutes, materials and follow‑up actions.
- Manage office operations, including budget monitoring and expense processing.
- Arrange travel itineraries, bookings and expense claims.
- Prepare, edit and file communication materials such as presentations, emails and documents.
- Maintain physical and digital filing systems with strict data security.
- Support academic research through literature reviews, data collection, statistical analysis and co‑authoring papers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in communication studies or a related social science field.
- Strong organisational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, solve problems efficiently and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Team‑player attitude with prior experience in a project officer or research assistant role preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience using project management software.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical tests (e.g., moderation, mediation, hierarchical regression).
- Competence in social science research methods.
