About the role
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks motivated research assistants to advance safety‑critical control theory and machine learning for robotic systems. You will work on cutting‑edge nonlinear control methods and state‑of‑the‑art AI models, contributing to high‑impact publications.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research at the intersection of control theory and machine learning.
- Design and run experiments on various robotic platforms.
- Collaborate with international research groups.
- Publish findings in top journals and conferences.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in control theory, machine learning, robotics or a related field.
- Familiarity with nonlinear systems and modern AI techniques such as diffusion models and transformers.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Entry‑level candidates are welcome.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- Machine‑learning frameworks, especially PyTorch.
- Fundamentals of control theory and nonlinear system analysis.
