Research Assistant – Psychology & Social Science

About the role

The School of Social Sciences at NTU seeks a Research Assistant to support interdisciplinary projects in psychology and social science. Working under the supervision of Principal Investigators, you will coordinate participant recruitment, data collection, and day‑to‑day research operations across diverse settings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute research studies, ensuring timelines are met.
• Supervise and train research assistants and student helpers.
• Coordinate participant recruitment in preschools, hospitals, and laboratories.
• Handle data management tasks, including cleaning, coding, and analysis.
• Maintain compliance with ethical and institutional requirements.
• Assist with grant reporting and preparation of manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Support the preparation of conference presentations and other dissemination activities.

Required profile

• Degree in psychology or a related social science field.
• Experience conducting research with human participants, especially children or families.
• Strong organisational and project‑coordination abilities.
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with students and research staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexibly across different settings and schedules.
