Research Assistant/Associate – Healthy Aging

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at NTU is seeking a motivated Research Assistant/Associate to join its Centre for Geroscience and Geromedicine. The role focuses on translational bat immunology and aging research, aiming to translate insights from long‑lived bats into novel strategies for human health.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, document, and report experimental results and research findings accurately.
• Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment, manage equipment and consumables, and lead safety and risk assessments.
• Assist researchers with data analysis and literature reviews across multiple projects.
• Evaluate and interpret data, preparing oral presentations, written reports, and scientific manuscripts for publication.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
• Strong academic or research track record; prior experience in immunology or aging is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with animal work, tissue processing/histology, or single‑cell and spatial transcriptomics library preparation is a major advantage.
• Demonstrated learning agility and proactive attitude for candidates without direct exposure to the above techniques.
