Research Associate – Carbon‑Enhanced Concrete

About the role

The Energy Research Institute at NTU is seeking a Research Associate to advance carbon‑enhanced concrete technologies. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop, test, and evaluate new concrete formulations that incorporate carbon materials for improved performance and carbon storage.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop concrete mixes that integrate various carbon materials while ensuring secure carbon storage.
• Conduct comprehensive laboratory testing of mechanical, durability, and functional properties of the new concrete.
• Perform cost‑benefit assessments and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the developed materials.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of carbon‑enhanced concrete or geopolymer materials.
• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with analytical and experimental techniques relevant to concrete research.
• Strong theoretical background and excellent scientific writing skills.
