About the role

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Associate to join Dr. Cyrus Mostajeran’s laboratory. The role focuses on geometric optimization and design within learning and robotics, bridging rigorous mathematics with data‑driven applications.

Key responsibilities

Derive rigorous mathematical results at the intersection of geometry, analysis, and data science.
Design, implement, and test algorithms for optimization and robotic learning.
Collaborate with project partners and contribute to scientific exchanges.
Prepare reports, scientific papers, and presentations documenting research outcomes.

Required profile

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Strong analytical mindset with enthusiasm for applying advanced mathematical tools to data science and robotics.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative research environment.
