Research Associate – Nano‑Bio Interaction Analysis

About the role

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at NTU seeks a Research Associate to advance nano‑bio interaction studies. You will work in the Nano‑Bio Interface Lab, using nanofabricated chips and high‑resolution imaging to explore how membrane geometry influences protein assemblies in disease and drug delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and lead research projects under the Principal Investigator.
• Coordinate sub‑projects and collaborations with internal and external partners.
• Prepare scientific publications, grant proposals, and literature reviews.
• Supervise junior team members and train new laboratory personnel.
• Maintain laboratory operations, order supplies, and ensure safety compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in biological science, biomedical engineering or a related field.
• Research experience in nanofabrication, in‑vitro reconstitution, and fluorescence microscopy imaging.
• Hands‑on experience with supported lipid bilayers, protein purification, liposome assays, T‑cell culture, immunofluorescence, and confocal microscopy.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for image analysis.
• Highly motivated, strong laboratory and leadership skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
