About the role

We are looking for a Research Associate / Research Fellow to conduct high-quality research and propose cutting‑edge solutions for near‑shore seawater level and wave height monitoring at the Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI), NTU Singapore.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct high‑quality research and experiments on near‑shore seawater monitoring.
  • Prepare grant proposals and project reports.
  • Program using Python and test theoretical findings via computer simulations.
  • Test the methods via lab experiments.
  • Publish results in top‑tier journals.
  • Assist in mentoring PhD students.

Required profile

  • PhD degree in mathematics, systems engineering, or machine learning.
  • Expertise in monitoring of sea.
  • Strong programming skills.
  • Outstanding research track record with publications in coastal engineering, water research, or top ML conferences.
  • Advanced written and communication skills.

Required skills

  • Python programming.
  • Computer simulations.
