About the role
We are looking for a Research Associate / Research Fellow to conduct high-quality research and propose cutting‑edge solutions for near‑shore seawater level and wave height monitoring at the Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI), NTU Singapore.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct high‑quality research and experiments on near‑shore seawater monitoring.
- Prepare grant proposals and project reports.
- Program using Python and test theoretical findings via computer simulations.
- Test the methods via lab experiments.
- Publish results in top‑tier journals.
- Assist in mentoring PhD students.
Required profile
- PhD degree in mathematics, systems engineering, or machine learning.
- Expertise in monitoring of sea.
- Strong programming skills.
- Outstanding research track record with publications in coastal engineering, water research, or top ML conferences.
- Advanced written and communication skills.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- Computer simulations.
