About the role
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a passionate Research Associate to advance real‑time machine learning techniques for robotic systems. The role focuses on both theoretical development and practical implementation on industrial robots.
Key responsibilities
- Develop real‑time deep learning methods for robots with safety and predictability considerations.
- Design theoretical frameworks for robotic learning and control.
- Build robot vision systems for object detection using machine learning.
- Implement deep‑learning‑based control methods for robotic platforms.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in robotics and machine learning.
- Strong hands‑on experience with robotic systems.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated publication record.
Required skills
- Proficiency in C, C++ and Python.
- Experience with deep learning and machine‑learning techniques.
- Knowledge of robot vision and object‑detection methods.
- Understanding of robotic control and safety considerations.
