Research & Development Internship

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, offers a full-time Research & Development internship in Singapore. As an R&D intern you will contribute to projects spanning process engineering, materials characterization, product development, data analytics and emerging semiconductor technologies, working alongside experienced technical teams in a fast-paced innovation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support research, product development and engineering initiatives
• Conduct experiments, testing, simulations and data analysis to support project objectives
• Assist in process characterization, optimization and technology development activities
• Develop reports, presentations and technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones and deliverables
• Support innovation, continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor, Master or PhD program at a local university in Singapore
• The internship must be a mandatory or credit-bearing part of your academic curriculum
• Able to provide a valid internship support letter from your university for onboarding
• Available for a full-time internship of at least 20 weeks between January and June 2027
