About the role
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to lead a project on Li‑ion battery ageing analysis and experimental testing. The role combines hands‑on laboratory work with advanced data‑driven modelling to improve battery health monitoring.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct experimental testing on Li‑ion batteries to collect ageing data.
- Develop health indicators derived from experimental results.
- Design and implement machine‑learning models for battery health assessment and remaining useful life prediction.
Required profile
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Expert knowledge of Li‑ion battery technology and machine‑learning techniques.
- Research experience in battery ageing analysis and model development.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Publication record is a plus.
Required skills
- MATLAB programming.
- Python programming.
- Machine‑learning methods applied to battery data.
- Li‑ion battery testing and data analysis.
