Research Fellow – Fiber Reinforced Composites

About the role

The School of Materials Science and Engineering at NTU is seeking a motivated research professional to advance the thermal insulation performance of epoxy‑based fiber reinforced composites for construction use.

Key responsibilities

• Execute project tasks to meet and exceed defined research objectives.
• Investigate and improve the thermal insulation characteristics of epoxy composites.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary, multicultural research team.
• Maintain high professional ethics and adhere to safety protocols when handling composites and fire‑protective materials.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science; PhD preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling and processing epoxy composites and/or fire‑retardant materials.
• Understanding of insulation mechanisms and ability to work within project timelines.
• Relevant experience in flame‑retardant materials, composite manufacturing, or fire‑resistance testing is a strong advantage.
