Research Fellow (Psychology/Cognitive Neuroscience/Education)

About the role

The Centre for Research and Development in Learning at Nanyang Technological University (CRADLE@NTU) supports multidisciplinary research on learning in higher education, combining education, psychology, organizational behavior, neuroscience and technology design. It is seeking a Research Fellow for a 1-year term (renewable opportunities) focused on the cognitive neuroscience of learning and on bridging educational neuroscience findings with educational strategies. The fellow helps develop and manage research projects contributing to CRADLE's Science of Learning thrust.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent research
• Handle grant proposal documentation and associated administrative tasks
• Conduct literature searches and write reviews
• Supervise and lead a team of researchers
• Coordinate and liaise with faculty from different disciplines
• Take some part in the centre's administrative duties

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) degree and publication record in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, education or related fields
• Teaching or research experience in education settings preferred
• Excellent scientific writing and interpersonal skills
• Independence in developing programmatic research encouraged
• Supervisory and leadership skills, person-oriented communication and coordination

Required skills

• Systematic reviews and meta-analysis
• Research reports and behavioral experiments in neuropsychology or cognitive psychology
• Neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, EEG, fNIRS, TMS)
• Statistical software such as R and SPSS
• Survey tools such as Qualtrics and Google Forms
• Image analysis tools such as SPM, FSL, AFNI, Matlab, DSIstudio
