Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow (Wireless Localization & Sensing)

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is looking for a Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow to carry out experimentally driven research on radio-based localization, tracking and sensing for future 6G communication and Internet-of-Things systems. The fellow develops algorithms, implements them on real hardware, designs measurement campaigns and builds prototypes in realistic indoor environments, working closely with the Principal Investigator and collaborators and students.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research on wireless localization, tracking and sensing techniques, with a strong emphasis on practical implementation and experimental validation.
• Identify potentially patentable research outcomes and complete patent application forms.
• Write and publish high-quality research papers.
• Assist in preparing and writing research grant proposals.
• Co-supervise undergraduate and/or graduate students.

Required profile

• PhD in electrical and electronic engineering, communication engineering, signal processing, radar engineering, remote sensing or a related discipline.
• Strong publication record and hands-on experience in wireless localization, wireless sensing, AI/machine learning for communications or signal processing.
• Ability to conduct experimental research independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good written and oral English, essential for data analysis and communicating with stakeholders.
