Research Fellow – Ultrasonic Diagnosis for Cell SOH Grading

About the role

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at NTU is seeking a Research Fellow to lead a project on ultrasonic diagnosis for cell state‑of‑health (SOH) grading. This position offers the opportunity to work within a vibrant, multidisciplinary research community and contribute to cutting‑edge ultrasonic technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct ultrasonic experiments and develop signal‑processing techniques for cell SOH assessment.
• Simulate ultrasonic wave propagation in complex materials using numerical methods.
• Prepare and submit technical progress reports at regular intervals.

Required profile

• PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasonic non‑destructive testing (NDT) or structural health monitoring (SHM).
• Proficiency in numerical simulation of wave phenomena.
• Excellent programming skills in Matlab, C++ or Python.
