Research Professor – Public Policy (Geopolitics, Governance, Sustainable Development)

About the role

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore is seeking a senior Research Professor to lead cutting‑edge research programmes that shape public policy creation. The role focuses on advancing knowledge in geopolitics, global governance, sustainable development and international relations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage high‑impact research projects aligned with the school’s strategic priorities.
• Secure external funding and foster collaborations with academic, governmental and industry partners.
• Publish research findings in top‑tier journals and present at international conferences.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to graduate teaching and curriculum development.
• Provide expert advice to policy makers and contribute to public discourse.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant discipline.
• More than 10 years of post‑doctoral research experience.
• Outstanding international research reputation with a strong publication record.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and lead successful research programmes.

Required skills

• Expertise in at least two of the following areas: Geopolitics, Global Governance, Sustainable Development, International Relations.
