Resident Engineer – Civil & Structural Infrastructure

About the role

The Resident Engineer will lead a team of technical supervisors on construction sites, ensuring that all civil and structural activities meet regulatory standards and client expectations. This role reports to the C&S Quantity Surveyor and works closely with authorities and contractors to drive project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site technical supervisors to guarantee compliance with regulations and client requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies, contractors, and the C&S QP to resolve site issues and keep projects on schedule.
• Supervise structural works, identifying and addressing any non‑conformities.
• Conduct regular site inspections to enforce health and safety standards in line with MOM guidelines.
• Oversee civil and structural engineering activities performed by site supervisors.
• Participate in site progress, variation, and coordination meetings.
• Perform inspections for submissions, including ERSS and specialist works, as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a university recognised by the Professional Engineers Board.
• Registered Resident Engineer (BCA / IES / ACES) with at least 5 years of resident‑engineer experience.
• Strong familiarity with the Singapore Building Control Act and Construction Regulations.
