Resident Engineer - Civil & Structural

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Resident Engineer to supervise civil and structural works in Singapore, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect civil and structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, and contract documents.
• Monitor site progress, construction methodology, workmanship, material quality, and geotechnical/deep excavation works.
• Review contractors' method statements, shop drawings, work procedures, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, client representatives, and authorities on technical and site matters.
• Witness site inspections, testing, quality control activities, and ensure workplace safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, site instructions, and supervision documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent recognised in Singapore.
• Accredited as Qualified Site Supervisor (QSS) and Resident Engineer (RE) under IES/ACES frameworks.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant civil and structural engineering experience, including at least 2 years supervising similar works.
• Experience in geotechnical engineering and deep excavation works.
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction regulations, codes of practice, and site supervision requirements.
