Risk Management Specialist

About the role

The NETS Group, a leading payments services group operating Singapore's national debit scheme, is hiring a Risk Management Specialist. The role advises the business on identifying potential risks and works closely with business units to build strong controls and procedures that mitigate them.

Key responsibilities

• Support Senior Management and Board Committees in managing risk matters so enterprise-level risks are monitored and reported in a timely manner.
• Prepare and develop risk dashboards such as Key Risk Indicators for management reporting.
• Monitor and report on remediation action plans arising from breached Risk Tolerances, KRIs, Operational Risk Events, risk events, RCSAs or assurance reviews.
• Drive the Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) programme and advise first-line business units on risk frameworks, policies and processes.
• Carry out risk assessments and assurance reviews, and engage stakeholders on control improvements.
• Support Business Continuity Management and IT Risk teams on initiatives and ad-hoc tasks.

Required profile

• University degree in a related discipline or equivalent industry-related experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in auditing, assurance or risk roles; experience in a regulated financial industry is an advantage.
• A recognized professional qualification in risk and controls (e.g. CIA, CRMA, CPRM, CISA, CRISC, FRM) is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication and the ability to build effective relationships with peers and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of risk management and control concepts, including technology risk management.
• Strong understanding of the three lines of defense risk concept.
