Risk Market Senior Analyst

About the role

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Market Risk Senior Analyst to evaluate market risk taking behavior, influence outcomes through portfolio and transaction level analysis, and support the firm’s risk appetite and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate market risk taking behavior and influence outcomes through portfolio and transaction level risk analysis as well as risk limit calibration and setting.
• Perform proactive ad‑hoc stress tests ahead of notable market events and ensure issues are promptly escalated to senior management.
• Direct implementation of new risk measures, improve existing measures, and communicate risk‑related issues with senior management.
• Monitor adherence to established risk limits and sign off on the Market Risk approval process for new products.

Required profile

• Strong academic record with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate complex information to senior management.

Required skills

• Understanding of financial products, including derivatives and Greeks.
• Experience with coding (preferred).
