Sales Development Representative, Mid-Market

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses, is hiring a Sales Development Representative for its Singapore office. Based in Singapore, the role sits in the SME & Growth Business team's Mid-Market unit, which partners with established, high-growth businesses to optimise financial operations and cross-border payments. The SDR uses a targeted, account-based outbound approach to build the Singapore Mid-Market pipeline, working closely with a designated Account Executive.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, research and engage strategic mid-market accounts through account-based outbound strategies, with the AE, and qualify high-quality, sales-ready opportunities.
• Research customer business models, regional operations, financial workflows and technology ecosystems to find pain points and opportunities across FX, global payments, payment acceptance, corporate cards and spend management.
• Engage multiple stakeholders such as CFOs, Finance Directors, Treasury teams and Operations leaders, and tailor multi-channel outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn).
• Maintain accurate account intelligence, stakeholder maps and opportunity details in Salesforce, and support a smooth handover to the AE.
• Develop joint account plans, test and refine outreach sequences, and take ownership of pipeline quality.

Required profile

• Proven track record of top performance in an outbound SDR/BDR role, preferably prospecting mid-market or enterprise customers.
• Experience penetrating strategic accounts and multi-threading within complex organisations, including engaging director-level and C-suite stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen, curiosity about fintech and global payments, and comfort engaging senior decision-makers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organisation and collaboration skills, and a self-starter attitude.
