Sales Executive - Construction Material Testing

About the role

SGS, a global Testing, Inspection and Certification company with laboratories and business facilities in more than 115 countries, is hiring a Sales Executive for its construction material testing laboratory in Singapore. The role covers managing sales activities, developing and implementing sales strategies, building customer relationships and achieving sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell a wide range of construction materials to contractors, developers, architects and consultants
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and client accounts
• Deliver product presentations and give technical recommendations to clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
• Monitor market trends, gather competitive intelligence and contribute to strategic planning
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and proposals
• Work with internal teams such as logistics and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in Business, Engineering or a related field
• At least 2 years of sales experience in the construction or building materials industry
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently
• Oral and written English proficiency
• Willingness to learn, highly organised and flexible

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to coordinate and work as part of a team
