Scientist (Nutrition and Metabolism)

About the role

A research project on nutrition interventions involving various local cuisines is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented scientist. The role supports study coordination, research logistics, data collection, meal preparation and the preparation of scientific reports.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the day-to-day operations of the dietary intervention research project
• Plan and help prepare and deliver meals according to the study protocol
• Manage logistics such as participant recruitment, visit scheduling and meal delivery
• Monitor study progress and ensure compliance with ethical and safety guidelines
• Manage adverse event documentation
• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors
• Analyse nutrient content of meals and participants' intake data
• Analyse and interpret data and prepare the study report

Required profile

• Degree in nutrition, food science, biomedical science, sports science or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience coordinating human studies
• Familiarity with research logistics, participant coordination and data collection tools
• Comfortable with field work and hands-on measurements, able to work flexible hours
• Organised, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team
• Able to plan and prepare multi-ethnic meals; knowledge of nutrient analysis is an added advantage
