Secondary School Physical & Health Education Teacher

About the role

The school seeks a dedicated teacher to deliver high‑quality physical and health education to secondary learners across the MYP, IGCSE and IBDP programmes. The role focuses on fostering students' physical, emotional and social development while promoting lifelong health and wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality physical and health education across MYP, IGCSE and IBDP curricula.
• Build learning‑focused relationships and empower students to become independent learners.
• Plan and use formative and summative assessments to inform progression.
• Provide scaffolding, feedback and support reflective learning.
• Engage parents through learner‑led conferences and regular dialogue.
• Integrate IT tools to enhance learning and support authentic problem‑solving.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole‑school events.
• Serve as form tutor and help students set personal goals.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification and Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Physical Education, Health Education, Sports Science or a related field.
• Minimum two years experience teaching in an international school with MYP, IGCSE or IBDP curricula.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Experience with bilingual/multilingual learners and diverse needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and adherence to Taylor’s Schools policies.
